Wyclef Jean was shot in the hand yesterday just outside Port-au-Prince in Haiti.
He was treated at a local hospital and released.
A rep for the singer said the bullet just crazed his hand and he's doing well, saying, "He?s fine now. It happened late yesterday night and he was released after a couple hours.?
The shooting comes on the eve of the presidential elections.� Wyclef was a candidate but ruled ineligible because of residency requirements.
UPDATE: Wyclef says he had just left his car, when he heard gunfire. He says the next thing he noticed ... he saw blood on his shirt and shoes. He has no idea who fired shots or whether he was even the target.
