BURBANK - A 23-year-old woman who may have shot herself in the head died today after being brought by her boyfriend to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, police said.
The woman was brought to the emergency room about 4 a.m., said Burbank police Sgt. Tracy Sanchez.
She was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the emergency room. Her name was withheld, pending notification of relatives.
Police interviewed the woman's boyfriend, who drove her there in a pickup truck, Burbank police Sgt. Robert Quesada said.
The preliminary investigation indicated that the wound was "possibly self-inflicted," Quesada said. Detectives were trying to determine if foul play was involved, he said.
