Detectives asked for the public's help today, Wednesday, June 15, 2011, to find Renata, right, and Dusan Klein, left, both 59, of Santa Clarita.
A Jeep Cherokee belonging to a Canyon Country man whose wife was found slain along Big Tujunga Canyon road was found in North Las Vegas, but the man, who speaks with Czech accent, was nowhere to be found.
Dusan Klein, 59, has been sought since his wife, Renata, also 59, was found dead June 15 in the Angeles National Forest. A coroner's spokesman said she had been asphyxiated.
The missing Jeep, which detectives asked for the public's help in finding, was found by North Las Vegas police behind a bar, where it apparently had been sitting for about two weeks - with the keys still inside. In the back seat, blood stains believed to have come from the dog were found, and detectives said they believe he killed the dog.
Klein is about 6 feet 2 inches and 190 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
Anyone with more information as to Klein's whereabouts was asked to call sheriff's Detective Diane Harris at 323-890-5500.
