Alex Pettyfer insisted to VMAN there is nothing 'cool or interesting to be said about' him.

Alex Pettyfer might as well go around singing the famous Joan Jett lyric, "I don't give a damn about my reputation."

Because, well, he doesn't. That much is clear from his new interview with VMan, featured in the magazine's summer 2011 issue.

"I've heard I've been called a bad boy, or difficult," he said, referencing his rumored anger-management problems. "Maybe that's because I don't take any bulls---."

The 21-year-old went on to rant about his career, living in "s---hole" Los Angeles and the lack of quality people worth his time.

"I think it's this insidious pool where nearly everyone lives in fear," the British-born actor said of L.A. "Geographically it's fantastic... but socially it's disgusting. I wish they'd run all the c--ts out."

The "I Am Number Four" actor, whose romance with co-star Dianna Agron came to an abrupt end in February just two weeks after they were rumored to be engaged, even claimed he has "thank you" tattooed above his crotch.

It's "in case I forget to say it," he told the magazine while supposedly winking.

And the movie star, who appeared in his first film in 2005, has already become disillusioned with the world of acting.

"Being an actor is like being in prison," he explained. "You go, you serve your time, you try and replicate Johnny Depp's career - and then you move to Paris." (For what it's worth, Depp lives in Paris and still makes movies.)

In late February, a source described Pettyfer to People as "talented" but "immature" and "opinionated." "Drama surrounds him," the source said.

Another added that Pettyfer, who claims not to drink or do drugs and prefers spending time at home, stays "very isolated and he has a very bad temper."

Earlier that month, The Hollywood Reporter alleged the actor's difficult demands and antagonistic behavior were costing him movie roles.

"Pick your words: ambitious, hungry, cocky, very ahead of himself," a producer told the trade magazine. "But if he delivers, he'll be worth it."

He just might not give a damn.
