Hmmm. My sweet tooth is howling. What should I have for dessert? There's two tasty options that I just can't choose between. I could jet to London for some Baby Gaga, human breast milk ice cream. Yes, lactating women actually donate breast milk to the ice cream parlor. Don't worry, it's screened for safety. Sounds creamy and delish! But what about this deep fried Nutella nugget that looks like poop? Crunchy and chocolatey. Tough call. I think I pick the Nutella nugget. So what if it looks like doody? I can't get down with eating another woman's titty juice. Your turn! If you had to pick one, which would it be? [BBC, Dlisted]

Wednesday night's American Idol ended with a Jennifer Lopez meltdown, when fan favorite Chris Medina was sent home. But Thursday night, the diva put her game face on and, with the help of Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler, narrowed the remaining Idol contestants down to the top 24.
The 12 guys and 12 girls chosen to move on didn't get their good news from the judges until they'd endured a bit of suspense-building teasing. "You're mean," contestant Laina Alaina joked after she finally got the confirmation she was one of the 12 females whose Idol dreams were still intact.
In the night's biggest twist, 15-year-old fan fave Jacee Badeux was sent packing after a tense three-way showdown for the final spot in the guys' competition. Brett Loewenstern nabbed the coveted spot, while Colton Dixon joined Badeux for the long trip home.
Meanwhile, Jessica Cunningham, who has auditioned for the show seven times, was rejected on the night of her 25th birthday. She jokingly flipped off the camera after saying her goodbye, telling the judges: "I love ya, but you ruined my birthday."
Below is the complete list of the top 24 who will be vying for your votes next week!

Fans have been donning their best Lady Gaga costumes for the first three stops on the latest leg of her Monster Ball Tour, and MTV News has been there all the way. Gaga's dedicated Little Monsters have been turning out in droves to see their Mother Monster belt out her hits, including her latest smash, the anthemic disco number "Born This Way."
Fans told MTV News that the song's feel-good message has resonated with them. "I think it's fantastic that she decided to put that song out first before any other more noteworthy songs she might have," Juliana explained. "Because it meant something to her."
Lisa further explained that "it means no matter what you are, who you are, who you want to be, you just can't help it, because you were born this way."
Meghan thinks "Born This Way" is a great track to pump yourself up with when you're feeling low. "It means that no one should really be able to tell you who you can and can't be, because obviously you can't change how you are," she said. "And you should just express that."
Kristen added: "Nobody should discriminate against you for anything. Just be who you are, be proud and that's it."
Mon Cheri boiled down what the song means to her: "Do what you want to do! I mean, keep it real, keep it safe and keep it legal, but you got to do you, hon."
Not only does the song have a great message, but as Alicia pointed out, it also is awesome to dance to. "It's just perfect. ... Everything that she's about is in that song," she said. "And it has an amazing, catchy beat, as usual."
Marie said the tune sums up what Lady Gaga is all about: "It's everything she says in interviews all wrapped up into a song."

Good Morning America host Robin Roberts talked with Michael Jackson's kids, Prince, 14, Paris, 12, and Blanket Jackson, 9, in a new interview that aired Friday. The previously sheltered kids spoke candidly about how their lives have changed since the loss of their father almost two years ago.
The three children, who have been attending a traditional school since their father's death, after being homeschooled for years, are much like any other children, cracking jokes, texting and playing with toys throughout the segment. When prompted to disclose their favorite subjects in school, Prince answers, "Gym and lunch," to which his sister responds, "Amen!"

Fif reportedly lost 50 pounds for Mario Van Peebles-directed film.

It may have taken 50 Cent losing pounds to be recognized as a weighty actor. The film "Things Fall Apart," which stars 50 Cent as a college football player stricken with cancer, will make its world premiere March 5 at the Miami International Film Festival.
Last year, 50 Cent drew headlines over his commitment to playing the role of Deon Barnes, a University of Michigan football player whose hopes of an NFL career are derailed by a cancer diagnosis. For the role, 50 Cent reportedly lost more than 50 pounds. Stills from the film, directed by Mario Van Peebles, revealed that the rapper looked shockingly emaciated and nearly unrecognizable.
"50 Cent's physical transformation combined with Mario's vision for the film kept the story fresh, gritty and powerful," Miami International Film Festival Executive Director Jaie Laplante told AllHipHop.com. "Fans in Miami will have a unique opportunity to see the film well before the rest of the world does."
The film also lightened the Queens rapper's pockets, since besides writing the script, he produced and financed the picture himself too, via his Cheetah Vision Films production company. Director Van Peebles also acts in the film along with Ray Liotta, who plays Barnes' doctor, and Lynn Whitfield.
50 is taking the actor/rapper/mogul tag seriously. He recently signed on to star in a crime drama called "Freelancers," which is going to be directed by Jessy Terrero. On the music side, the rapper is getting the buzz going on his forthcoming album, Black Magic, releasing a couple of new songs ("When I Come Back," "Run Up on Me" freestyle) online to whet fans' appetites. 50 also recently followed in the footsteps of Dr. Dre and launched his own high-end headphone line called Sleek by 50 Cent.

The 'Gossip Girl' star gets her party on with 'Front Cut,' a new track that just hit the Internet.
By Jocelyn Vena
Leighton Meester

For a while there it seemed like Leighton Meester was only going to be "Country Strong," but now she's again embracing her dance-club music roots on a new track. On Tuesday, a new Meester tune titled "Front Cut" hit the Web.
The "Gossip Girl" star's track, a certain club banger that could easily be confused with any song in Ke$ha's dance-heavy discography, features the writing, production and vocal talents of Clinton Sparks.
"I'm too fly to be all up in this line, boy/ I should get a front cut/ I should get a front cut," Meester proclaims in the opening lines of the song — which is all about getting key access to a slamming party — before some killer keyboards and heavy beats kick in. She goes on to rap/sing, "You see me coming through/ Not just me, my girlfriends too/ You know what we came to do/ That's why we in front of you."
Meester really displays her swagga on the song's bridge, when she goes on to sing, "Don't tell me I gotta wait in the line/ I said f--- the front door, I should go in through the side/ Why don't you/ Lift up that rope to let through/ All these girls in my crew / Give me a drink or a few/ I mean a bottle or two/ We've been out here too damn long / And I hear Clint Sparks playin' my song/ Got my diamond and my Louboutins on/ Ya better hurry up or I'll be gone/ Don't tell me I gotta wait in no line/ 'Cause there's plenty of other clubs that want me inside."
With no official release date for the track or any definite plans for an album release, it seems that for now Meester fans will have to just enjoy the song online. The singer/actress' pop-star career has been long-simmering, to say the least. She was expected to drop an album in 2010, but that never happened.
In 2009, she appeared on Cobra Starship's "Good Girls Go Bad," then she hooked up with Robin Thicke on the song "Somebody to Love."
So what do you think of Meester's new club banger? Share your opinions in the comments.

But is it here to stay? Our music-industry experts weigh in.
By Akshay Bhansali
Ke$ha

In 2010, pop princesses, R&B icons and chart-dominating newcomers all danced to the same beat. Not only did dance music go pop, but pop music caught the club-music bug.
Between Katy Perry's "Firework," Ke$ha's "We R Who We R," Rihanna's "Only Girl (In the World)," Enrique Iglesias' "I Like It," Usher's "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" and "OMG" and countless other singles, established artists definitely looked to dance beats for surefire hits. And two of this year's biggest success stories in music were Jason Derülo and Taio Cruz; could there be a soul left in this country who hasn't heard "Dynamite" or "In My Head"?
The love went both ways, with dance music's biggest stars finding mainstream success this year. Dance-music maestro deadmau5 took up house-artist duties at this year's VMAs, and Swedish House Mafia and Usher teamed up for a medley of their gems at the American Music Awards.
So how did this happen? We caught up with some music-industry experts to get their takes.
"You definitely saw tempos go up this year," Jon Caramanica of The New York Times told MTV News. "And I think what you had are a lot of producers who are really familiar with nightclub stuff. They are familiar with Europe. Things are happening on a more global scale now."
"I think everything from Europe, and sometimes even Asia, it comes to America, and we just adopt things a little bit slower," said Jared Eng of JustJared.com. "I think it was just a change. People like different types of music at different times. And dance was of this moment."
Noah Callahan of Complex magazine added: "I think 2010 saw the merging of the pop and dance genres. Pop artists realized that there were best practices that could be borrowed from dance music. And, ultimately, [all] pop music that has been made in the past 20 years had ended up being remixed for the club by dance artists. I think they basically just cut out the middleman and went straight there."
Dance music being introduced into the hip-hop and R&B realms was particularly notable this year.
"I think David Guetta kind of at the end of last year and the beginning of this year spearheaded it," said freelance writer Julianne Escobedo Shepherd. "He produced a lot of tracks. I think as trends go, people revile 'unst-unst.' But it's just coming back around. Big-room techno was a way for people to get decadent in a year that no one could get decadent."
"You have someone like will.i.am, who's like, 'Well, I spent all this time in Ibiza, and this is what they are doing,' and he wants to find a way to bring that into his music," Caramanica said of the Black Eyed Peas mastermind. "R&B especially became dance music. And especially with your Jason Derülos, Taio Cruzes. Guys like that would have literally been blocked at the border two years ago. That would not have made it through customs. And now all of a sudden they have #1 songs. I think will.i.am had a lot to do with that last year."
Elliott Wilson of RapRadar.com added: "It's actually even affected hip-hop. I was talking to Q-Tip, and his next record, I feel like that's gonna kind of go in that vein. I know that was also Jay-Z's thought process with Blueprint 3 at first, that he wanted to make a little bit more of a world music [vibe], a little more dancey. I think the kids today want to go to the clubs. They wanna have a good time. They wanna dance. So I think the artists of today are trying to kind of feed that audience."
"I think it's caught on this year because the people who've done it have been successful," offered Clover Hope of Vibe magazine. "Like 'OMG,' with usher, he didn't have success until he made a dance record. He had 'There Goes My Baby' and these really, like, adult-contemporary records that didn't really catch on. And then once you see that everybody is doing it and that people are liking it, they are like, 'OK, let me just try this out.' It's like Auto-Tune. Like, 'Let me see what I sound like on a record by David Guetta.' They end up liking it and doing more of it."
So does the club-music trend have staying power. According to our tastemakers, not so much.
"I do think it's a blip," Caramanica said. "I don't think that's gonna be something that lasts in America. I think this is gonna be a moment we'll all look back on and go, 'Wasn't that weird when Jason Derülo and Taio Cruz had #1 records?"
"At some point, these R&B artists will get kind of sick of it and be like, 'Let me go back to my soul background,' " Hope said. "When you actually have to say something, dance doesn't really lend itself to substance. And I think that R&B artists, they really want to talk about love and in a deep way, and to do that, you need to do, like, a soul or a traditional R&B record. I want to say that it's kind of a fad."
"I think music is very cyclical," Eng offered. "So I think dance music might be here for a little bit, but I'm sure it will phase out at some point."
Wilson called dance music "the sound of today. I think that people want more aggressive, faster beats, and I think that that probably has legs until at least next summer."
What do you think? Is dance music here to stay? Let us know in the comments!

Grainy '60s-style clip is part of a series of free-form videos this year's hosts have posted online.

Anne Hathaway and James Franco in an homage to "Grease"
Photo: James Franco's YouTube
Those wacky kids and their Interwebs! As befits two of the youngest Oscar hosts in history, James Franco and Anne Hathaway have offered a strong online presence in the run-up to Sunday's main event.
Last month the duo put out two promos in which they sweetly, and often haplessly, attempted to prepare for the emcee gig. And Franco has been posting free-form videos on Funny or Die — singing a tune by '70s British pop group Kursaal Flyers while receiving a shave and hitting up Judd Apatow for advice about how to host an awards ceremony. Now, via his Twitter account, Franco has posted another video, one that appears to have at least been shot as part of the Oscars, though there's no word if it'll hit the airwaves.
The 19-second clip is an homage to "Grease," with Franco as Danny Zuko and Hathaway as Sandy Olsson, during the film's climactic carnival scene. Made to look like a vintage film, complete with fuzzy color and grainy editing lines, the video is dialogue-free and set to a simple soundtrack. The whole thing has a slightly homemade movie feel.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, there's no word if the footage will be rolled into Sunday night's 83rd annual Academy Awards ceremony. The video does, however, give us a clue as to the potential nature of the hosts' opening number: It might well feature Franco and Hathaway inserting themselves into past movies. That concept jibes with what producers are describing as the show's virtual-reality set, in which "projections" will give the ceremony an ever-changing look and allow the hosts to carry viewers though "through Hollywood history with six or seven scenic transitions," as THR put it earlier this week.
Will it be a regal evening for "The King's Speech"? Can "The Social Network" dial up Oscar gold? Don't miss MTV News' "2011 Oscars Live" at 6 p.m. Sunday, February 27, when we'll be chatting with your favorite Hollywood stars live from the red carpet on MTVNews.com, and stick with us all Oscar night for winners, interviews, photos and more!

'I'm still kind of amazed that they let me drink beer out of somebody's skull,' Nicolas Cage marvels to MTV News.
By Kara Warner
If the trailers haven't already sold the fact that "Drive Angry" is outrageous, in every sense of the word, allow the cast of the film -- Nicolas Cage, Amber Heard, Billy Burke and William Fichtner -- to expand on the subject, particularly the scenes they thought would be left on the cutting-room floor.
"I'm still kind of amazed that they let me drink beer out of somebody's skull," Cage admitted to MTV News recently of his character's most over-the-top antics. "That that's still in the movie, and it's a credit to [director] Patrick Lussier that he had the guts to go in the most far-out places."
"Only in our movie, in the world of 'Drive Angry,' " Heard said.
"I wanted it to look good, like, 'My cup runneth over,' " Cage explained of the big moment. "I wanted the beer to come sploshing out of the eye sockets."
Burke, who plays a very disturbed and psychotic cult leader hell-bent on infant sacrifice in the film, said he figured that one of the film's climactic scenes would receive a less intensely violent edit.
"I thought that we would probably change sacrificing a baby to maybe a lamb or something like that," Burke said. "I didn't think that we'd actually go forward with wanting to kill a baby, but we did, and that's the kind of movie this is. So if you can't take that, for the fun and spirit in which it's intended, then you shouldn't go see this movie," he advised.
For scene-stealer Fichtner, who plays the mysterious character the Accountant, he was most surprised that a very racy/violent love scene made the cut.
"There was one scene in the movie, we all know which one I'm talking about [a 'creative' sex scene in which Cage engages in a gunfight with a naked woman still on top of him] where I thought, 'Wow, that's interesting,' " he said. "That's a challenge."
In addition to the outrageousness of wrapping your head around what happens in that scene, Fichtner said he has great respect for the actors and stunt coordinators who made it happen.
"Patrick [Lussier] did an amazing job and so did Charlotte [Ross] and Nic," he said. "It's much more than just a sex scene."

Conrad Murray's trial slated to start March 28.

Michael Jackson's former personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray entered a plea of not guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter in the June 2009 death of the pop star at his arraignment on Tuesday morning (January 25).
According to the Los Angeles Times, when asked by judge Michael Pastor how he pleaded to the charge, Murray said, "Your honor, I am an innocent man." When Pastor interrupted and asked Murray what his plea was, the cardiologist said, "Therefore, I plead not guilty."
The brief hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court ended with Pastor setting a March 28 date for the start of a trial in the case. Murray faces a maximum of four years in prison if convicted, and the Times noted that he surprised the judge by invoking his right to a speedy trial, which meant the case would have to begin by late March. Pastor noted the rarity of a defendant asking to have a speedy trial, then set jury selection for the week of March 28 and said he was inclined to allow television coverage of the trial that the defense expects will last two months.
Lawyers for Murray have maintained his innocence all along, saying he did not do anything that "should have" caused the 50-year-old pop icon's death. The Los Angeles County Coroner's office determined that Jackson died of an overdose of the surgical anesthetic propofol mixed with a cocktail of other sedatives.
Murray has admitted to administering propofol to Jackson in the hours before the singer's death, but the defense appears to be gearing up to claim that it was Jackson who administered the final, fatal dose of the drug after he woke in a panic from a fitful night of sleep.
During a preliminary hearing earlier this month to determine if there was enough evidence to hold Murray over for trial, the physician's attorneys said that there was evidence Jackson injected or drank a fatal amount of the drug when the doctor was not looking.

'It looked worse than it actually was,' the 'OMG' singer laughs about accidental blow during concert serenade.

Usher's club-rattling jam "OMG" may "kill it every night" according to tourmate Miguel, but when the Atlanta crooner hit Madison Square Garden earlier this week, he was almost taken out by a clumsy fan.
When the singer touched down in New York on Monday, he indulged a super amped fan's fantasy by pulling her onstage for an intimate flirty serenade of "Trading Places." As Usher and the concertgoer got cozy on a recliner, she swiveled around to face the crooner — knocking him squarely in his mug with her foot. She began apologizing profusely as Usher briefly paused to collect himself. But the superstar took the strike in stride, quipping, "We play rough in the bed. We kick each other in the face and all type of good stuff."
Although Usher brushed off the blow, the moment did make an impression on him.
"In all my years, this is one of the most interesting experiences. I got a kick out of it!" he told Us Weekly. The singer assured fans that the knock wasn't that bad. "It looked worse than it actually was. My audience and I got a good laugh."
As for the fan, the "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" star maintained everything is all good on that front too. "Wherever you are baby, don't feel bad," Usher said. "No hard feelings."
As Miguel has noted, Usher isn't one dwell on drama, whether it's cranking out another hit album or weathering an unexpected hit from a fan.
"He's such a tremendous example of perseverance and determination," Miguel recently told MTV News. "I was there throughout this album, so I've seen the adversity that he's had to overcome perception-wise."

'The Fighter' stars poised for supporting actor and actress wins Sunday.

At one point during this latest awards season, there wouldn't have been much to preview in the best supporting actor and actress Oscar categories. Two co-stars from "The Fighter," Christian Bale and Melissa Leo, appeared to have assured themselves of easy victories on Hollywood's biggest night.
But Oscar momentum — or, depending on how one views these things, industry conventional wisdom — interrupted any early coronations and have injected some intrigue into the categories ahead of Sunday night's ceremony. Bale and Leo, for far different reasons, now face competition of varying degrees, though we have a feeling each will end up triumphant by evening's end.
Best Actress in a Supporting Role
In a field crowded with former nominees and current breakout talents, Leo established herself as the frontrunner based on her turn as Alice Ward, the wild-eyed mother and boxing manager of her two sons. She rolled to victory at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Golden Globe Awards. All the while, Leo presented herself as decidedly above the fray.
At the Sundance Film Festival last month, just a day before the Oscar noms were to be announced, Leo told MTV News that she truly had no vested interest in awards-season mumbo-jumbo. Based on years of disconnecting from a role after an audition or the conclusion of a job, the 50-year-old actress said she'd already moved on from her work on "The Fighter."
Then a funny thing happened: Leo got the Oscar nom and took out a series of ads in the Hollywood trades featuring herself in a glamorous, glossy photo labeled simply, "Consider." To observers, the ad was, at best, bad manners and, at worst, grounds to suffer a humiliating Academy Awards defeat. Other, cooler-headed Oscar-watchers defended the actress, who'd been unable to book late-night talk-show interviews and magazine covers, as standing up for herself and her performance. Whatever the case, there is no doubt that Leo wants to win the Oscar — bad. Will she? Hailee Steinfeld, the 14-year-old phenom many think should have landed in the leading actress category, went boot heel to boot heel with Jeff Bridges in "True Grit," and represents Leo's strongest competitor. Nor should we count out anything connected with "The King's Speech," which seems to be peaking at just the right time; Helena Bonham Carter has got to be considered a dark horse.
Come Oscar night, however, we have a feeling Leo's track record — she was a leading actress nominee in 2008 for "Frozen River" — will trump Steinfeld's precociousness and, by besting Bonham Carter, assure "King's Speech" won't dominate the show.
Best Actor in a Supporting Role
Sorry, Jeremy Renner. Too bad, John Hawkes. Feel free to play again next year, Mark Ruffalo. All these gentleman — especially Renner as an unhinged bank robber in "The Town," if you ask us — turned in laudable performances, but those turns came during a year that Bale straight up committed. The 37-year-old Welshman shed pounds and dominated the screen as sallow-eyed ex-boxer and sometimes-crack-addict Dicky Eklund. Bale went on, early and often, to rule awards season.
We'd suggest there's simply no way Bale can loose on Oscar night, but let us at least propose some mitigating factors: "King's Speech" is riding one hell of a winning streak, and Geoffrey Rush nabbed the British Academy of Film and Television Arts award earlier this month. Plus, Rush is a four-time nominee and one-time winner (for "Shine" in 1996).
But those are all fairly thin arguments. How about some counter-facts? Oscar blogger Scott Feinberg points out that only once in history has an actor won best supporting actor at the Critics' Choice, Golden Globes and SAGs, yet failed to win the Oscar. Eddie Murphy in "Dreamgirls"? Ouch! What's more, leading actor and supporting actor rarely go to men in the same film: It's only happened once in the past 50 years (Sean Penn and Tim Robbins both won for "Mystic River" in 2003). So, if we accept that Colin Firth is a lock to win leading actor for "King's Speech," that means Rush is out of luck.
Let's just hope Bale's Oscar acceptance speech goes smoother than his SAG one, in which Eklund apparently crashed the stage, leaving a surprised Bale to exclaim, "Dicky! All right! This is the original quacker right here!"
